This year we celebrated the holiday by loading the u-haul trailer in the morning and doing a bit of relaxing in the evening! It was wonderful to just sit back and enjoy being together. To put everything that had to get done aside for just a minute and focus on enjoying our friends and our last few days here in Iowa. We did some grilling, talking, and a lot of kicking back. It was a lovely afternoon!
When we got home, we changed Mia out of her festive clothes and into jammies. We were about to try to start putting her down to bed when we realized we had a few boxes of sparklers and we needed to celebrate her 8 week birthday!! So we went out in the backyard and wow did she LOVE the sparklers! She couldn't take her eyes off the pretty lights. We didn't do so well taking a together picture but you get the idea :) We had a really great time as a family and I think there will be a lot more fireworks in this little girls future :)
