After I read this quote I thought about our blogs and journals and the ways we keep our family history. Even when things seem like nothing is happening we try to write and later we are always so glad we did. I thought about our struggle with infertility and how we have recorded things along the way. And maybe someday it will help someone. That they'll say, now I know it's not just me.
Our baby who finds their way into our home will be taught this... that journaling and record-keeping is important. It teaches you about yourself in unexpected ways, and not just after-the-fact.
Not much seems to be moving forward in the adoption process currently.
But hey, at least we're not moving backwards.
2012 is going to be awesome!
